Starting A Business As A Christian
In today’s world, it is no secret that a 9–5 is where many people work and thrive. Society often promotes that a person should go to school, get a degree and work a 9–5 for 20–40 years before retiring. However, what if God wanted you to have a business? Today, too many people are living paycheck to paycheck and they are often one paycheck short of being homeless. God doesn’t want you to rely on one job as you barely struggle to get by. God wants his people to prosper in this world as even God himself made King Solomon the richest man (1 Kings 10:23). Many 9–5 jobs can be restrictive for followers of God as they can hinder your time with God. Also, many 9–5 jobs can write you up, suspend or even terminate you if talk about Jesus Christ and his word too much. We live in a world where many people hate truth and God’s word is the truth (John 14:6). You shouldn’t be bound to your company’s rules or threatened to be terminated based on your beliefs or relationship with God. God wants better for you and he may place a vision in you to start your own business. Even if you don’t want to become a full time entrepreneur, it’s recommended to at least have a side business. In a time where many jobs are laying off workers, having a side business at least keeps income coming in rather than you losing your job God forbid and having no money coming in. Many 9–5 have a fixed income where they won’t even pay you more money or what you deserve. However, with your own business your not set by a certain income as you can unlimited income coming in. You can become a millionaire, billionaire or even trillionaire based of your own business. There are rarely any 9–5 that will pay you this kind of money. A 9–5 paying $20 an hour is not going to work in a time where rent, mortgage or bills are going up. Especially in major cities like New York or Los Angeles where the cost of living is very high. Don't underestimate God’s plan and purpose that he has assigned over your life. Let this message be a great blessing unto you and be blessed.
